When you think of 3M window tint Austin on cars, I'm sure you think of dark windows that keep out sun and light. Believe it or not, not all car tinting looks like that. There are many different percentages out there, but there are actually tints that are completely clear. In fact, there is a transparent 3M automotive window tint that comes to mind.
I was a bit skeptical of this because I thought that the darker they ere, the more sunlight they would block out. However, that is not what is going on with this particular film.
It does what the darker films do by blocking heat and harmful UVB and UVA rays, but it allows more light to enter the car at the same time. That may sound like it defeats the purpose of tinting, but it is just a clear barrier that helps maintain the look of the car.
Some people just want the protection of window tinting. They just may not want it to look as obvious as the darker tint. And, in fact, some areas do not allow certain percentages of tint, so this is a viable solution for that.
I will admit that I wondered how effective clear tinting would be on car windows. However, after giving it some thought, I see nothing wrong with it, and I find it a great alternative. It is one that I will consider for my next car.
